Various slides have been added or updated, you can find all the files in the "Content" section.

Happy new year to everyone visiting this site, I hope that you're enjoying it.

Some of the content has been updated, with various changes on the slide deck. Nothing major, mostly small additions and fixes, except that all files are now covered by a "Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.

One other (unexpected) change is that the web site for the "Studio Ghibli API" used for one of the JavaScript examples is no longer available. The first example with a local copy of the data does work, but the one calling the data from a remote website does not. The JavaScript code remains valid, and should be updated in the near future.

Thanks to Josh from the "JavaScript Developers of Wilmington" for organizing and to Jared from "Common Desk" for hosting us; the event last Wednesday was a success with many people in attendance and very varied and interesting presentations.

This was an opportunity for me to have a short talk about "Protecting Your Web Server". This was a succinct presentation, focused on hardened configuration and using security certificates for HTTPS.
